How to Use OS authentication

JimmyNewbieNov 7 2008 — edited Nov 9 2008
Hi,

I have a problem with the Oracle 10g Security on XP, sp2 and sp3.

I want to use the OS authentication.

1) I created an account :

CREATE USER OPS$ORANGE IDENTIFIED EXTERNALLY;
GRANT DBA TO OPS$ORANGE;

2) I created a Windows account Orange (group Users)

3) They are my parameters:

os_authent_prefix=OPS$
remote_os_authent=TRUE

4) I opened a Windows session with the account orange.

5) I opened sqlplusw

SQL> connect /
ERROR:
ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied

Warning: You are no longer connected to ORACLE.
SQL>

If I type :

CONNECT / AS SYSDBA
it's ok.

I'm unable to be authenticated without "AS SYSDBA". I don't want that ORANGE be able to be under SYS. What I forgot?

Please...
