how to use initcap

455054Oct 15 2007 — edited Oct 15 2007
I am using initcap in my select statement and I am wondering if there is a way when the return row contains a roman number like IV or III to keep it upper case eventhough I used initcap. Please look the exampe for the outcome and desired outcome. thanks

SELECT DISTINCT (SUBSTR (e.eiitem, 1, 4) || '.'|| SUBSTR (e.eiitem, 5, 9) )"Item Number", b.datelet,

initcap(i.idescrl ||' '|| e.isupdes) "Item Description" ,sum(E.IQTY) "Quantity"

Outcome:

Geotextile Fabric Type Iii

My desired out put is

Geotextile Fabric Type III
