How to use GLOGIN.SQL and LOGIN.SQL

401855Aug 24 2004 — edited Aug 24 2004
Am confused about the use of those files. Where are they normally found by default and how can this be changed. I would like to experiment with these files on a standalone machine.

I had originally assumed that global login file glogin.sql defaulted to ...
D:\oracle\OraDev92\sqlplus\admin
Which I am pretty sure is correct. I also placed my login.sql file there as this is normally run after glogin.sql but it dosen't seem to be the case. I also thought that SQLPATH should point to where login.sql is placed but again this does not seem to be. As the changes are not being implemented?

Many thanks
Fergus
