How to use encryption with jdbc-thin?

Hi all,

I would like to know if it's possible to use jdbc-encryption (thin) with SQL-Developer.
An very interesting article handles this by using OCI w/ the latest 1.5version of SQL-Developer but this requires a Oracle-Client installation. http://blogs.oracle.com/datawarehousing/2009/07/lock_up_your_data_warehouse_pa.html

Any help out there?
