how to use apache server wit tomcat

i have download de tomcat>>>jakarta-tomcat-4.1.24 & oso Tomcat 4.1 (both in binary type)& i have oso download de apache web server.
de problem is i dun know how to use both of them...
i not sure if de apache server & tomcat i download & unzip, install(whichever is applied) is de correct type..
pls advice..
