How to use a Variable in a Knowledge Module

I have a requirement to use a variable in an interfacce, which i will pass during scenario execution. And my question is how can i use this in my IKM oracle Knowledge module. any suggestions are appreciated. please note that my src and trgt are in oracle technology. thanks for your time.
