How to update the request content type for a PeopleSoft to Third Party integration

I am doing an Integration between PeopleSoft to Third Party application and the content type is defaulted as Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8. I want it to be changed to text/xml. I am using a gateway with HTTP Target connector and tried adding a header but dint help.
