How to switch off password expiration

Hi, I have a problem with the password expiration in ApEx 3.2.1.00.10:

On workspace login with my developer+admin account I am regularly asked to change the password although the "Expire Password" checkbox in
the "edit user" form is not set. Additionally, workspace preferences at "Account Login Control" the radiob button on "Account Expiration and Locking" is set on Disabled.

How can i disable the password expiration or at least increase the time of validity?
