how to stop corrupted forms in IDE

Twice recently, once again today, a Jframe based class suddenly reports the form is corrupted. It will then only open as read only.

Why is this happening? Hopw do I recover whatever was lost. The wiki for FormGuardedBlockError doesn;t make any sense when I look in form file.
