How to stop archiving

I have 4 databases - only one of them is live. How can I stop archiving on the other three databases? I'm having this error on my alert log file:

ARC1: Beginning to archive log# 4 seq# 1029397
ARC1: Error 12514 connecting to standby host 'my_stdby'
ARC1: Error 12514 creating archivelog file 'my_stdby'

Of course this error attributes to one of the databases (my_stdby).
