How to start orbd.exe as a Windows service
843793Dec 3 2002 — edited Dec 3 2002I have tried to start orbd.exe as a "service" to keep it running in the background when the user logs out.
There is a Windows Resource kit utility, SRVANY, that should make it possible but I can not get it to work with orbd.
If orbd does ignores the logout events from windows it can be run as a service with SRVANY, but that does not work (for me).
Does anyone know another way to run orbd as a Windows Service?
I know it is possible by using the FireDaemon service manager but I think it should be doable without it.
