How to setup DNS (fqdn) in Oracle Enterprise Linux 5
Hi Everyone,
My name is John and I do not know how to config the OEL 5 so it has a fully qualified domain name and would need your assistance? The following is what I have done so far:
1.) I've downloaded and installed VMware player on my Windows 7 laptop.
2.) I've downloaded and installed Oracle Enterprise Linus 5 (32bit) on my VM virtual host.
3.) I've downloaded all R12 Oracle eBusiness Suite related zip files.
4.) I've tried to install R12 Oracle eBusiness Suite using './rapidwiz' on OEL 5 but it failed in the 'host/domain name' test as I have not set up a DNS for the OEL 5 yet.
My question is how to set one up so the Oracle eBusiness Suite's 'host/domain name' test would pass it and allow me to proceed with the installation. Thank you for your assistance.
