How to set xmx and xms

Hello

I have win 7 64 bit

Java 1.8 32 bit

My apps take a lot off memory

When i set xms xmx as 1024 the memory that

Take in windows mem private is 512m

When i set only xmx 1024 and delete xms setting

My apps start at 200m

What is good setting for

Win7 64 and java 1.8 32 bit
