How to send messages to MQ in MQSTR format

Hi,
I am using WebSphere MQ JMS interface to post mesages to MQ in my Business Service. Whenever I post my proxy service post the messages to MQ BS it is posting as MQHRF2 format. Is it possible to post messages in MQSTR format? If yes, could you please help me how to do it in ALSB3.0. I am using WebSphere MQ 6.0
