How to run JMS in J2ee 1.4

Hai
i am working with jms now. i sent both synchronized & asynchronized using j2ee 1.3 it is working properly but in j2ee 1.4 it seems to be different. I need to run my application in same way as in j2ee 1.3 that is i want it to run through java instead of appclient how to do it please tell me.
