I am using oracle forms 10g, in it i am storing the Id value of the field in the table and displaying the meaning of the id value in the display field in the form, I am doing it by the LOV.
My question is that.
When i querying the records the Display field is not displaying the meaning of the Id value which is stored in the table. Can you please help me how to retrieve the meaning in the display field of the form while querying.
I used some logic in the post_query trigger like by getting the value of the records id value and assigning to the same id field, at this time the meaning is displaying after this it is asking whether to save the form, which should not happen as i am querying the record and not changing it.
Can you please help me in it.
