how to reset the rman configurations?

dear all
I am really strange for RMAN.I have set up the rman configuration for my database. I dnt have tape drive and though I want to reset t5he command

CONFIGURE DEVICE TYPE 'SBT_TAPE' clear PARALLELISM 3 BACKUP TYPE TO BACKUPSET;

I put the clear end of the command but its not working. so how I can reset this configurstion.?

2) I want to use rman on my database..
Pls send me a proper reference to familiar with rman.?
