How to reset LDAP server admin password

807573Apr 3 2007 — edited Apr 5 2007
Hi All,

I try to use

./commadmin user create -D admin -F FIRSTNAME -n MYDOMAIN.com -L LASTNAME -l LOGON_ID -w ADMIN_PASSWORD -W NEW_USER_PASSWORD -d MYDOMAIN.com -S mail -E USER@MYDOMAIN.com -H MYSERVER.MYDOMAIN.com

to create an email account on MS server. The -w ADMIN_PASSWORD does not work for some weird reason. It wored before and I did not change. I can login Sun ONE Server Console using the same admin/password as used in the above command. But why does it not work with Directory Manager through "commadmin user create ....."?

When I tried to use the above command, I got
Invalid value for login ID: admin
Invalid value for login password
Invalid value for login domain:

I posted my question to messaging server forum and was told to come here to get help from Directory expert.

Can you please tell me how reset the admin password of Directory Manager (obviously the old password does not work)?

Thanks a lot in advance,

Daneil
