HOW TO RESET A SEQUENCE

Hello , One of our sequence generating 5 digit number and it has to be inserted in a table column with NUMBER(4) datatype. By this its generating precesion error. How to solve the problem . Note that , the 4 digits number is specified in other referencial tables too. Kinldy suggest me to resolve it.
