How to replace Oracle Linux with Ubuntu

db78f8a1-28c3-4af1-aea6-01dd42d172eaSep 5 2014 — edited Sep 5 2014

Hi everyone,

Sorry if this seems very elementary. I am very inexperienced in Linux, but I have to install some software on a Linux device. The device run Oracle Linux Server 7, and after many days of trying, I cannot mount my dvd-rw on the device, so I finally decided to replace it with Ubuntu. However, when I restart the computer with the boot DVD in the DVD-ROM, I don't get the option to boot the machine with the disk. Can someone explain to me how to resolve this issue? I really appreciate any help.
