DDebJun 7 2017 — edited Jun 7 2017

Hello expert,

                      I have cloned a PDB (salespdb) locally and named as purchasepdb.Now While cloning it has created tablespace and datafile same as source PDB.So I renamed tablespace name to purchase from sales.I am not able rename datafile  sales01.dbf to purchase01.dbf.Please find the below steps I have executed.Let me know whether I am doing anything wrong here.

SQL> alter session set container=PURCHASEPDB;

Session altered.

SQL>  alter tablespace SALES rename to PURCHASE;

SQL> alter tablespace PURCHASE offline normal;

Tablespace altered.

SQL> alter tablespace PURCHASE rename datafile '/oradata/ccbx12c/purchasepdb/sales01.dbf' to '/oradata/ccbx12c/purchasepdb/purchase01.dbf';
alter tablespace PURCHASE rename datafile '/oradata/ccbx12c/purchasepdb/sales01.dbf' to '/oradata/ccbx12c/purchasepdb/purchase01.dbf'
