How to remove time from the date column in the bar charts

I'm using APEX 5.1.1. I have date column and returns proper value in sql developer, but on the bar chart, it displays T00:00:00 at end of each date, even after trunc. Also, how can display the date in DD-MON-YYYY format without converting it to char, as I need to maintain the order of the date column. any ideas are appreciated, thanks for your help.
