How to register keywords for an APEX app with google search engine?

PPlattMay 14 2014 — edited May 14 2014

I'd like to associate my 4.2 apex application with certain keywords a user would type into  google search (or other search engines as well) .

My application manages bookings at an Oracle Education centre and I'd like a link to my app to appear in Google when the following type of keywords are entered into search fields.

Oracle Education <mycity>

Oracle University  <mycity>

Oracle Training ...

...etc

If I create a site map ( as suggested in ) do web crawlers actually visit the URLs listed in the sitemap file and index all the words on that page?Is that how it works?

Also if I create a sitemap (txt or xml) do I put it in the /i/ directory on the server?  If not, where else should I locate it so google picks it up?

I'm a bit hazey on how it all works.

thanks in advance

PaulP
