How to reduce size of .apk file?

Hi Experts

i have created application using oracle maf jdev version 12.1.3

the size of .apk file is 20mb same .apk file when i have deployed on jdev 11.1.2.4 is 12.2 mb

therefore, How to remove size of .apk file? any doc or tutorial link?

and also how to secure source code in our .apk file.
