How to Read this Forum to Learn PL/SQL

LooneyAug 17 2016 — edited Aug 20 2016

Hello Experts, I have above 3 years of experience  in ETL tool(Informatica), Oralce and Unix. I have basic knowledge of SQL's and Database . From last 7-8 months I am trying hard to learn PLSQL. PLSQL because I am getting more interest in coding after learning basic bash in Unix scripting but the major reason is that there are many job openings available in PLSQL. To learn it  I go through all online questions , tutorials and discussions. But still I am lacking confidence of writing basic PLSQL code. Recently I have purchased 12c PLSQL 6th edition by  Mr. Steven Feuerstein. My problem is every time I start a chapter in a book enthusiastly , but with time it become tough to understand and I never reach till end of any chapter. I am also following this community since long , although I have created my account recently. I read every problem and try to figure it out. I start with any PLSQL question , but jumped into SQL into another thread, then suddenly I found Performance tuning as more important and end up to understand Database modeling. I want to understand should I learn all these in parallel , one by one or only learning PLSQL is sufficient. I don't know, I am out of focus or PLSQL is not my cup of tea. But I don't want to loose because PLSQL is the skill that is quite near to what I am doing in last 3 years. Please help How to learn on this forum.
