How to read Export DUMP file..

SKaviJun 12 2009 — edited Jun 15 2009
Hi Experts,

Before importing any oralce dump,
I would like to know which schemas are going to be imported.. how can I do it???
I am already aware of

Import uitilyt option SHOW=Y

imp userid=xxx/xx file=xxxx.dmp SHOW=Y

Is there any other way like TOAD does!!!

I know we can to read the file in any text editor , but opening a dump file of GBs in size is not going to be a good idea

I have tried opening small DUMP files, in Text Editor, I can read the schema information, Any logical position/key words I should be looking in the file,
Any guideline on this also will be appreciated.

Please suggest..

Thanks
Srichan,.
