How to process the old files in the MFT Files in the source directory due to source being disabled

We have Oracle MFT 12.2.1.4.0 version and we have a MFT source of type Embedded-SSH-FTP which we had to "disable" due to a downstream system being down. After enabling it back, the files weren't getting picked. How do we get to make the source pick all these old files from the source directory after enabling the source.
