How to populate Hierarchical Tree with runtime query ?

Hi folks,

can anybody provide an example how to populate a tree with query which is build during the runtime?

What properties have to be set up at tree item level?

At the moment I'm populating tree with record group, which was created at design time (not runtime). This works fine, but I would like to modify that query based on runtime conditions.
