How to pass a string with colon as page item?

I'm using APEX 19.1. I've a IG report and one of the column should be a link to a modal dialog page. The target page has a query with hidden item to receive the link column value, passed from link column value, which contains the value like "TEST : one" and string is terminated on dialog page. any ideas please, thanks.
