How to open Rpd in Online mode 10g

GTAJun 7 2011 — edited Jun 7 2011
Hi friends,

While creating an rpd file for the first time, im creating it in the following manner in the Administration tool

>file---->new

therefore, the three layers will open and ill be importing the necessary tables build the logic and i will be saving that file....

That file name is R.rpd

Inorder to open that in the presentation services i need to edit it in nqs config file and also in instance.xml file......i have made all the following changes..

After that if i tried to open the R.rpd file in the administration tool in online mode it is asking for the username and password....

Username: Administrator and i dont know what is the password for the rpd file that i have created recently......

How i can able to find the password for the rpd file that i created recently inorder to open it in the online mode...

But i know the way of resetting the password for the rpd file....

How i do that means,

firstly i will be editing the nqs.config file in that i will be making the following change

Authentication = BYPASS_NQS;

which is before like

*#Authentication = NQS;*

and after that i can able to open the rpd in online mode without the password..

After that ill be going under manage------->security----->ill be changing the password....

And from the next time i will be again changing the below change in the nqs config pad

*#Authentication = NQS;*

Then i can able to open the rpd in the online mode with the changed password....

I have followed all these steps, then too it failed to open the rpd in the online mode and this is the error it is listing...
[nqsError: 37001] could not connect to the oracle BI server instance.
[nqserror: 43001] Authentication failed for administrator in repository star:
invalid user/password
What is the issue over here......

Thanks

All izz well
