How to move rows into their own partition

626479Sep 16 2008 — edited Sep 16 2008
hi,

here is the story

i have a script create parition and drop parition in a rolling window ...and keep 2 weeks of data

table parition by range with column start_time

somehow , several data has wrong start_time say 2080 , and script couldn't handle all this , so , parition couldn't be created and droped as usual

and i end up like this
parition name
p_20800910 <all my data >
P_20080911 emty
p_20080910 emtpy

now , i wanna delete the rows with 20800910 , only hundreds of them , and redistribute data into their own parition , so the whole thing can work

how do i do ?

row movement are enabled

will this generate huge redos , total data is about 35G or even more

any suggestions ?

thanks~~
