How to modify initial, next, pctincrease and chunk in a LOB

Joseph.DuOct 23 2013 — edited Oct 23 2013

Hi guys,

I'm wondering if someone can help me figure out how these four parameters work of a LOB, please.

When I try to modify a LOB with changing its parameter like:

ALTER TABLE TEST.T03 MOVE TABLESPACE "TBS_1" LOB (COL2)

STORE AS SECUREFILE ( DISABLE STORAGE IN ROW CHUNK 5000 PCTVERSION 22 CACHE READS FILESYSTEM_LIKE_LOGGING STORAGE ( INITIAL 1024 NEXT 1111 PCTINCREASE 11))

The result shows like this:

LOB ("COL2") STORE AS BASICFILE (

TABLESPACE "TBS_1" ENABLE STORAGE IN ROW CHUNK 8192 PCTVERSION 21

  CACHE READS NOLOGGING

  STORAGE(INITIAL 16384 NEXT 8192 MINEXTENTS 1 MAXEXTENTS 2147483645

  PCTINCREASE 0 FREELISTS 1 FREELIST GROUPS 1

  BUFFER_POOL DEFAULT)) "

I'm confused about how these four parameter be set to such values. Could anyone help to figure this out, please?
