How to migrate Oracle Forms Services from one node to another

RavilKhalilovJul 3 2015 — edited Aug 1 2015

Hello All,

In our production environment we have 2 configured Application Servers 10g, with Middle Tier configured - Business Intelligence and Forms, and we are using Form Services in Core Banking System.

Oracle Forms Version - 6

OS - Solaris 10g u8 x86 running on Vmware vSphere 5.5

OAS instance version - 10.1.2.0.2 - the same in all servers

Sometimes we have problem with running Application server, because 2nd server is clone of 1-st server.

We don't know why previous Application Server administrator configured second server as clone, but when we have trouble with 1-st server, second server have the same trouble.

In this connection, our IT managements ask us to create standalone separate server and migrate all Forms and Services to new server from old one.

I have installed new server, and configure the identical with old server OS parameters  (HDD, CPU, RAM, OS group, OS users, Kernel Parameters and etc...)

Only  OS name and IP adres is different.

In next step I successfully install Oracle Application Server Infrastructure in new server.

Now I want to clone or migrate all forms from old server to new.

Can anyone give me advice how would I clone Forms Services to new server and recompile it?

May be you can give some correct steps how to do it

As I understand we should recompile forms in new server after migrate? correct me if I'm wrong

Thanks in advance!

Best regards,

Ravil!
