How to merge two cells when rendering the ADF Table

Hi All,

Is there anyway to merge several cells in the left column of a ADF table at runtime, while still keeping the rows separated in the right side of the table?

It seems there is no such sample demos in the ADF faces demo application, and there are only samples in the Demo to merge the cells in the title row of the table.

Can anyone advice on this?
