how to make msi package

Hello,
God bless you reader. The matter is this i want to know how to make msi package. But i dont want to know about tools like Advanced Installer etc etc. I know about them and i have these tools on my machine but i want to know how can I do it bcz i am programmer. How long we can walk with a stick some day we will have to make a run. I want to know how to make msi package. I tried msiexec and with its options which it shows in its window but i m failed ( by the Will of God amen). So can you help me in a detail bcz i want a little about installer.
