How to make a custom content presenter, the default presenter for a given content type?

Aarthi KumarSep 12 2016 — edited Sep 19 2016

Hi,

I have developed a custom content presenter to render the contents of a pdf document (in the content repository) on a portal page. I am able to select this as a template for the nodes I select and assign. How do I make this template the default template for any pdf content items?

Specifically, I have content queries that retrieve pdf documents from the content repository and display them in the navigation pane. When I click these links, I get the details view as this is the default view for the single content items. How do I make my custom template the default template for the pages resulting from the content query?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
