We have a rulebase that generates monthly instances and calculates fees per month. But it can involve many months with periods with the same fee per month. Our customer wants a more compressed view on screen and in the BI publisher report we provide. for example:

Should be reported as:
1-1-20xx to 31-3-20xx : 50
1-4-20xx to 31-5-20xx: 80
1-6-20xx to 30-6-20xx: 50
