How to link ODI 12.2.1.2c version with GIT VCS?

N VishnukumarOct 26 2016 — edited Mar 8 2017

Dear All,

I am looking for clarity on the below questions regarding how to configure ODI 12.2.1.2c version with GIT VCS.

1. Initially I tried to do some research with Apache Subversion. But I could not find a proper download link for WINDOWS OS. Is Apache Subversion applicable only for LINUX OS?

2. As ODI 12c now supports GIT VCS, I downloaded it for WINDOWS OS and configured a local repository say [D:\ODI_LABS\GIT_SVN_REPO]. And when switching Version Control Management System it lists only two options as depicted in the below snapshot

There is no separate option like GIT. Does the Subversion option mean only the Apache Subversion or the GIT VCS also?

3. I could not configure the SVN URL as it supports only [file:///<disk-path-of-svn-repo>/<svn-repo-name>] format. I am not sure how to find the SVN URL for GIT. How to specify the SVN URL for the GIT Local Repository? Neither the Local Repository location [D:\ODI_LABS\GIT_SVN_REPO] or GITHUB Repository URL [https://github.com/vishnukumarn4/HELLO_WORLD.git] did not work.

4. Does ODI option in Switch Version Control Management System mean the Legacy versioning or New VCS like Apache Subversion or GIT that uses ODI Repository instead of File Repository?

Answers to any or all of the questions to get better insight are much appreciated. Thank you very much.

Kind Regards,

Vishnukumar N
