how to learn java ?

hi all , i am new to java , and i wanna learn it , for free of course
i found that link on oracle
http://download.oracle.com/javase/tutorial/java/TOC.html
but i think it is not a powerful book , am i right

is it just basics , is there another resources i can learn from it ,

shay shmeltzer said that i can but "java for dummies for 7 days without any previous knowledge" i think that was the name of the book ,

and i just found " java for dummies" i do not know if it is the same book or another book or a bad book or what
guide me please
