How to know a datafile has been corrupted or deleted

Umesh GuptaMay 3 2011 — edited May 3 2011
Hi Friends,

I came across one situation, that one of my data file got corrupted, users reported me that they are not able to access data from a specific table. I checked and found that data file got corrupted.
So I restored it from backup and now it’s working fine.
But my concern is to how to track or know that a data file got corrupted or deleted before the users report/ask to me??

Regards
Umesh
