How to kill long running package?

Hi,

Oracle version : 11.0.1.7.0
OS: IBM-AIX

I have executed health check package "DBMS_HM.RUN_CHECK" But my Database performance badly degraded. I wish to end the execution of the package.

How can i kill it?
