How to kill a java thread which is in blocking state and utilizing more CPU

807559Jul 24 2007 — edited Jul 24 2007
Hi All,

I have a written a sample code which creates a thread through which a DBConnection is created to get data, some how it got blocked and when
i use Jconsole to monitor my application it show the blocking thead in
thread view. The important problem is that thread is utilizing CPU at high
rate and its not getting back to normal.

Is there any way to kill the particular thread, and restore to normal without
restarting my application.

My Solaris OS is 5.9.

Advance thanks for everyone who replies.

Thanks,
Ants Balajei.
