How to hide the search option in an interactive grid but display the save, edit etc?

I have a master -detail-detail interactive grid. The search is not necessary on the detail and it clutters the pages. These detail regions are editable so I need the other buttons. Is there a way to hide the Search and Action items? I'm using 5.1.

Any suggestions are welcome.
