How to handle huge amount of data in BPEL

I have a scenario where I am invoking a DB View for getting high volume records (close to 1 Million records every time I execute my process). After that data is received I take the same data, transform it and send it to another web service which will then process the same and give me the result. All this is taking too much time. Most of the times my process dies before finishing. Is there a way of handling this apart from increasing my transaction timeout value and similar attributes?
To make it more clear I should ask if there is something that I can do in my process for handling this volume of data?
