How to get to Gallery objects/applications when APEX is hosted behind a firewall and has no access to the Internet

user4218209Feb 14 2024

Hi folks,

I'm an APEX newbie with limited experience and just a bit of classroom knowledge (plus YouTube).

We installed APEX successfully in/on one of our internal DB servers in a designated PDB.

All is working and I'm happily creating some test-and-tinker applications.

But since this server/database has only access to our other internal DB servers and databases (works great with DB links to get to other DBs, though) I can't access the “Gallery” for sample code and applications since it is not exposed to the Internet.

Any suggestions on how to get around that? Install the “APEX in a VM” combination on another workstation/laptop with internet access? Then install apps from the “Gallery” and export/import to the internal only server/DB?

Anyone have a similar environment and suggestions on how to get this working?

Any advise is highly appreciated.

Chris.
