how to get the <jre>/bin/classic directory?

hi,
I have java 1.4.2.1 installed. I installed it to my own directory, c:\java\1421. I actually installed some other versions of 1.3.* in that same directory. I read on an FAQ on this site that the JVM.DLL needs to be in the directory <jre>/bin/classic in order to work. I have been wrestling with the JVM for a week now, and once I finally found this info I got it running! here is my dilemna:

I need to install this program onto another system to be put into production. Hence, I need to be able to install a version of Java that has the bin/classic directory in it with jvm.dll in this directory upon installation. Does this make sense? What version of Java do I need to install in order to get this correct hierarchy? thanks
