How to Fix the OCR?

560526Sep 15 2007 — edited Sep 21 2007
Oracle support is taking too long to answer my questions so I hope someone can help. I deleted interfaces from the OCR with oifcfg delif and everything went ok. When I do a oifcfg getif the correct interfaces come back. When I restarted each node in the cluster, the db alert logs show that the OCR is using more interfaces then the getif command is showing. I did an ocrdump and the file shows the same interfaces that the db log shows. The ocr needs to be cleaned up. My questions are:

1. Why would the getif command show the correct info (3 interfaces) and the ocrdump file and db alert logs show different info (4 or 5 interfaces depending on the node)?

2. How can I manually clean the ocr?

I read a post about using the crs_stat -p command and then manually editing a cap file. Has anyone done this with success? Can you point me to directions/documentation on how to do this?

I know the OCR is backed up, but the oldest backup is only a week old. This change took place over a month ago. I do not want to re-install the cluster software. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
