How to find out a received mail is encrypted or not

I want to find out a way to check if the received mail is encrypted or not. I found multipart has a sub content type multipart/encrypted. But when i send a plain text mail with encrypted check , the received mail content type is Text/* , not multipart. Is ther eany way to find this out? Any header information?
