How to find default SHMMAX

I currently have no entries in my /etc/system file regarding SHMMAX, SHMSEG, etc. So presumably I am running with the system defaults.... but how do I find out what they are?

I am running Solaris 8 on a twin cpu sparc enterprise 2 with 1G of physical memory.
