How to find a polygon with gaps and overlaps

I'm new in spatial database and I'm trying to compare results of oracle and arcgis. I created one polygon layer with overlap between two polygons and also with gaps. In ArcGIS I will find this error by using topology rules 'Must not have gaps' and 'Must not overlaps', but I have no idea how to find it by using sql query. I thought this is check in validation, but validation returns 'TRUE'.
I'll appreciate any help.
